Sometimes your idle search on Google Earth can ultimately do some good.
Who among us hasn’t spent at least some time searching around on Google Earth idling looking around?
I know that this is personally one of my favorite things to do when I need to kill some time.
There are moments spent looking at random points of interest around the planet as well as times spent looking at places that have a special and personal meaning to me.
I think we are all guilty of this from time to time.
That said, rarely does this time-wasting lead to anything of significance. We are just checking out the places we want to see.
One man recently defied the odds though and used his time on Google Earth to solve a cold case.
